Hey, ladies. Welcome back to Confident and Thriving Podcast with me, your host, Clepatra. In today's episode, I am going to be speaking about how to turn yourself back on, back onto your dreams, back onto the goal that you are working to achieve, whether it is your dream business, whether it is your passion project a dream career, if you wanna act, model, like whatever it is that you are working to achieve right now, I'm gonna be sharing how to turn yourself back on to that. So the reason why this episode was even thought about is because I'm also in the process of turning myself back on to one of my dream goals. And as I shared in a previous video that I'm going through a life experience right now where, life feels a little foggy and I feel a little down, I feel a little sad some moments, and so I don't feel so motivated. A goal, as you know, is to make this podcast, thrive, to get back into going all in with it, and really make it into where I-- what I originally wanted it to be. And so I'm turning myself back onto this goal, back onto achieving the success that I want this podcast to achieve, and so I'm implementing some things that I have done in the past towards other dream goals and that I'm implementing right now as I navigate, life disappointments, as I navigate not feeling motivated. Because as like motivation, it goes up and down. It is very, it fluctuates, especially as women, like I'm also in my luteal phase right now, where I feel a little bit more sluggish. I feel a little bit more pessimistic. And so- These are things that happen with us. Our mood fluctuates, our motivation goes up and down, feelings go up and down. Feelings are fleeting, right? And so especially with it being the middle of the year, maybe you started the year with this ideal, this idea that you had to achieve a goal, and now you're in the middle of the year, and maybe you're still excited, but you're maybe not as motivated. Maybe things are happening for you, but you're not as motivated. You're losing the spark, you're losing the passion, right? You're wondering "Why did I do this?" Or maybe you started and you stopped, and you wanna get that passion back, you wanna get that drive back. So this episode is for you. I feel you, I see you, and as an ambitious dreamer, I know how it feels to have these ambitious goals and then sometimes lose that motivation. And so let's go ahead and get started and some of the tips that I'm doing to turn myself back on to get that spark back. So tip number one is to remind myself of my why. So again, as I'm turning myself back on to this podcast, I had to ask myself why what was my why for starting this podcast originally? Because I know that in the beginning, I was so excited for it. There was so much joy around it. There was so much anticipation around it, which actually helped the podcast, achieve faster success than I even thought that it would, reach more people than I even thought that it would. And so getting back to that excitement, like why did I start? And the reasons just to kinda share with you guys, was to get out, one, get out of my comfort zone, to get over my fear of being seen. But I also had this real passion for so many years that I've always wanted to show up online. I always wanted to make an impact. I've, always wanted to be, like a life coach or guiding people, guiding women especially. That was, like, something that I did in college. And so that was always a passion of mine, and I thought this would be a really cool way to start doing that. And I just saw it as something that was, like, for me. and so I had to get back to that why of remembering why did I wanna do this and letting that rebuild the excitement to keep going, re-rebuild the excitement to say I'm going all in and actually be all in. So the same for you. Like whatever passion project that maybe you have right now your dream business, your dream body goals whatever it is that you're working towards right now, right? Like why did you start it originally? What excited you about it that you were like, "Yeah, I wanna do this. I wanna start this"? Because I do know that sometimes there's that messy middle that can mess us up and that can make us lose momentum. Or just life, right? Other things happening in life, breakups, financial issues, other things that are happening in life, people's opinions that can maybe deter you and make you feel unmotivated to really go at and pursue the goal that you've been working to pursue, build the vision that you've been building, that you've been working to build, and keep that passion behind it. So that is my tip number one in turning yourself back on to achieving your goal, getting back to that why. the second tip on how to turn yourself back on to your dream goal, to achieving that goal, this is something that I like to practice, is visualization. So visua- visualization is a huge practice of mine with turning myself back on, because when you can visualize yourself experiencing the goal that you want to experience, then it increases the excitement. How... Why does this happen? Because a lot of times, again, during that messy middle, or when you're not really feeling motivated about something, it's because our thought is thinking more about the hard times, right? It's thinking more about things aren't working out. It's thinking more about, "Oh, this is, tedious work," or thinking more about what people are saying, or it's thinking more about "Why haven't I achieved this yet?" And that is causing that lack of motivation. It's causing that lack of excitement. And so it's really important for us to actually Practice visualizing the outcomes that we actually desire. So instead of thinking about, "Oh, this outcome, this is so annoying, it's taking too long," maybe start thinking about "Oh my gosh, I can't... it's gonna be feel so good when I experience this." You're thinking about the awards that you're winning. You're thinking about yourself actually on stage, or you're thinking about yourself traveling with your friends and with your family. You're thinking about, all the good things, and using that to overpower the negatives, to overpower maybe the, the negatives from your family, from your friends, or from your finances or just life. And so using that visualization is a huge part of turning myself back on, because I like to think about the how awesome it's gonna be, and I keep talking about the podcast, 'cause right now that's the goal that I'm working to achieve. But how amazing it's gonna be when it starts growing again at the pace that it was growing before, when it starts reaching more people, when I have more audience members, right? So allowing that excitement to drive me is amazing. Visualizing that visualizing myself winning a award for being, like, a top podcaster Or things that I wanna do. I've always... I thought about before when I first started the podcast of even maybe having my own event, and so I think about visualizing things like that. And so that turns me back on to a yes. It's a, it's like a big, fat yes. You want this, right? It turns me back on. So what is it that you can visualize right now that can turn you back on to what it is that you want? So the third tip on turning myself back on, This is a simple practice that you can practice every day, honestly it works. It works so much. It's speaking to your goal. we attract, through our words, and we can change situations, change the vibration inside our body through our words, right? So speaking life over it. Plants, right? We have to speak to certain things and allow that to light us up. When we speak life to ourselves, right? When we give ourselves affirmations, when we give ourselves compliments, what does that do? That helps us radiate, that turns us back onto us and make us feel more lively. For example, if I'm thinking about the podcast, I would, "Thank you, podcast for choosing me." My podcast chose me. This name chose me. It gave me the idea. Thank you, God, for, the community that I'm building. Same for you. Thank you, business, for choosing me. Thank you, idea. Thank you, passion project, for even giving me this desire. I appreciate you so much. So again, I know that it can sound silly to speak to your goal, but yes, speak life over your goal. Appreciate your goal because you want it to tu- you wanna turn yourself back on. And every time I do this, it turns me back on. It gets me re-excited about like just doing it. Yes, it gets me excited about that. So it's a small practice, maybe a little bit of a weird practice, but it works. I even saw real quick, is I even saw, My gosh. It is a mentor of mine, like I watch her on YouTube, and I think one of her thumbnails was like, "I speak to my money," right? This is how she's been growing business energetics. And so it's the same thing. It's like energy, like that turn on is energy. It's our life force. It's our magnetism, what attracts to us, right? And so just think about it, like when you're speaking life over, over your goals, you're re-energizing your life force. It is attracting it to you. She spoke to her money because when she... Every time she speaks life to her money, love to her money, more money flows to her. So it's the same thing. So I want you to think about that, implement it, and see if it helps. See if it helps to speak to your dream goal. It can be fun. All righty. So tip number four is listening to motivational stuff all day as much as possible if you can. So for me, a reason, the reason why I like to listen to motivational stuff as much as possible, especially in the season that I'm in, again, life situations, disappointments that is happening, and feeling up and down with like sadness and stuff is because I wanna be able to control my focus. If you can control your focus, that can be a huge thing. So being able to control your focus of going towards like the disappointment, you get to use the motivational stuff to reignite that spark. I like to listen to, Les Brown. I like to listen to Terri Savelle. I like to... Sometimes I like to just do a motivational thing on YouTube, and a whole bunch of guys, of course, like yelling not yelling, but speaking with that authority. To me, I like that. Not everybody likes that. Not a lot of women like that, but I like it because it like jolts me. It gives me the jolt that I need to be like, "Yeah." Yeah, so sometimes you need that jolt, right? You can speak life to yourself, but sometimes it's really awesome to have another like person in your ear like, "It ain't over yet," right? "It's not over yet until it's over," right? So having those things and it really makes a spark. It turns you back on. It gets that energy flowing, right? Sometimes if you can't take from you, it's really good to take from other people. They're putting that energy out there as an energy exchange. So as you listen to this podcast, there's an energy exchange that's happening right now. I'm pouring this energy into your ear, and you're receiving it, and hopefully this is reigniting your turn-on, right? Reigniting your spark for what it is that you are working to achieve. And so there's an energy exchange that is happening. And so when you listen to motivational things all day, as much as you can, it is constantly putting in your ear what you need to hear. And it's really all about intentional. During moments like this, at all costs, I work to avoid things that are not exciting me. things that are kinda weary, making me feel drained because it is so easy to get into a weary state. If you are in a weary state another thing is that when you've grown weary of the work that you're putting in, I know how it feels to be putting in so much work, and you're not achieving. You're not getting that result that you want, and it's so easy to grow weary. I was listening to this sermon about growing weary, and if you're familiar with this verse, "Don't grow weary in doing good work because in due time," something, "if you don't lose heart." And so when we're growing weary, we're losing heart. We're losing that passion. We're losing that life force towards what we want. And when that happens, what's happening? We're- we can't hear correctly, right? We may hear fear over divine ideas. We may hear, disappointments, anxiety over the ideas that we need because we can't tell it apart. Versus when we are in play, versus when we are in that passion, that excitement, and we're there, we can hear clearly the downloads that we need to receive. We can hear clearly everything that we need to get the results that we want. And so motivational stuff is a good part of that. I would say seek that out as much as possible, whether that comes through podcasts, whether it comes through books. But I do think that hearing is a huge thing. So I would say sometimes just doing that motivational stuff is really big. So tip number four to turning yourself back on to your desire, something that I... It is a practice, it is intentional, and is not an easy thing to do, is to make the past a non-factor. So a huge thing to why we can lose momentum is because we can remember the mistakes we made. We can remember the setbacks, we can remember it's not working, even yesterday, right? So as we are working to pursue and turn ourselves back onto our goal today, we have to forget yesterday. What didn't work out yesterday? And remember that the past outcomes doesn't... It doesn't mean that it's gonna be the same outcome for the future. And that's a huge thing. When we are thinking about the past outcome, it can really deter us and make us believe that outcome is gonna happen over, and over again. And that is not motivation. That is not motivation at all. It's-- That definitely is not turning me on, right? Again, relationships. If you are dating and you are constantly reminding yourself of the past, like how the outcomes turned out in the past, he did this, he did that, and there's potential, there's opportunity in someone else, and you're thinking about this, you're not gonna be turned on about giving this person a chance. You're gonna be thinking about all the things that didn't happen, all the things that went wrong, all the mistakes he made or you made, right? And that's gonna make you act from a place of the past versus from a place of opportunity. And so we need to be in a place of moving towards the opportunity by activating the excitement for what's to come. And to activate that excitement, we have to turn ourselves back on, or we have to reignite that passion back. And a part of that is forgetting the past. And so as I approach this podcast right now, it's a constant reminder to approach this from a place of, "This is the beginning." I don't care like how, the podcast took off pretty fast and then it slowed down. The setbacks, the mistakes that I've made, the up and downs that happened, I gotta ap- approach this from a place of, "This is the beginning." I'm like, I'm starting over, but I'm not starting over, right? This is the very beginning. This is day one. And so I think like approaching it every day as this is day one and intentionally working to forget about the past can truly reignite that excitement. Okay, this is day one. What would I do if this was day one? How excited can I feel if this was day one? And think towards the opportunities that you want, towards those future outcomes versus the past. The past is a non-factor unless you're learning from it. Okay, so let's go ahead and get into tip number six. So tip number six is how can I make this fun again? How can you make achieving your goal fun again? How can you make it new? I'm gonna share my example of how I'm approaching this from a place of, like, how can I make this fun again. So for me, it is making my background look fun, making the background look how I want it to look. So that's something simple but it's just fun to do it, play around with different backgrounds and see what I like. Just keep that excitement especially while it's in video. Another thing is speaking on topics that I want to speak about speaking on new topics that excite me, topics that I know or I believe that you guys are gonna like, but not so heavily focused on the outcome, not so heavily focused on, is the algorithm gonna like it? How can I make this fun again? How can I even make the environment fun? Right now, this background that you guys see is definitely AI-generated because I am manifesting the background that I want. And so I wanna look at it every day and "Yes, see that." And then also making my work and my environment feel fun, feel playful and just feel yummy. And so what ways can you make this- make it fun? So if you starting a business, I do remember, like, when I first started my first reselling business, I was in pajamas all day. And I remember my ex being like, "Girl, you need to put on some clothes." And why I say this is because what can you do? What if you're just working, you're working on your business, but you're working in it in sweatpants and with your hair messy and all of this stuff. Okay, that's comfort, but maybe make it fun, right? Put on some heels. Feel like the boss babe that you're working to become. Put on some perfume, put on some smell good. Like, how can you make it fun? How can you make your workouts fun? If you are working towards building your dream body, how can you make those fun? How can you make dating fun if that's your dream goal that you're working to achieve? How can you make your passion project fun? Whether it is to start a podcast, whether it is to start a YouTube, whether it is to go to tr- try modeling or acting Like what things can you do to make this fun for you? Like how can you make it fun for you? Again, it's reigniting that spark to turn yourself back on to it as much as possible. What can you do differently? Because with anything, if we're doing the same thing over and over again, it's so easy to get bored. It's so easy to get bored with it. And so honestly, it really comes down to being intentional, right? Being intentional. Again, feelings come. We're women, right? Our bodies, like our hormones go up and down. We go through multiple different phases for our cycle. Motivation comes and goes, and we have life happening. And so these things happen. But how much can we try to be intentional about keeping the passion alive, keeping that drive high, keeping that motivation and that turn on, like just feeling excited for it? Because it is a relationship. I like to think of it as that. It is a relationship, and if you want longevity in whatever it is that you want to achieve, like having, rebuilding that passion for it over and over again is a necessary skill set, is a necessary intention. And so those are my ways to turning yourself back on to your dream, turning it back on to your vision, your passion, your desires, Follow those six tips and allow that to do its job. Allow it to turn you back on, to wake up your life force energy, to wake up that excitement towards your goal, because it's gonna feel good when you do it. I feel turned on. I feel excited about my podcast, but sometimes it goes up and down. But with that intention, the fire always comes back, and the fire is coming back now, and I can feel it, right? Even this excitement that you may feel through my voice now is intentional. So it is approaching it in a different way, approaching it in a very intentional way. And so ladies, that is it for today's episode. I will see you in the next one. If you're new to my channel, if you're new to this podcast, then I would love it if you enjoyed this, to just take the time to subscribe if you would like to stick around.
